Guy Talk Goes Wire to Wire!!
In a fantastic year in all aspects for the Unseeded Nationals, Guy Talk captures their first team title ever with 34 pts and a very balanced attack. The battle for 2nd couldn't be closer and wasn't decided till the 5th place bout at 165. UNTD prevailed with 31 pts. on a successful throw in the last 5 seconds. Close behind and tying for 3rd with 30.5 pts was Edwards and Strayers. The Top Rookie team, Jacob's Hook followed closely in 5th place with 29 pts
The MOW based on highest place and most team points went to Bomber's Justin Lister/Bing, 4th place at 157.
All in all it was a spectacular year for the Unseeded's with 13 Unseeded All Americans and our tournament having 11 of them. In a very exciting and balanced year we had ten teams come away with UAA's. Jersey Boyz was the only team to end up with 2 All Americans.
(On a side note, for all those who think that getting the first pick in a wt. class matters, the top two teams this year never had the first pick in any wt. class, as Guy Talk picked 11th and UNTD picked 12th at 125.)
